new game ideas

Recently I have been thinking about games that we could make. I have 2 ideas that I think are suitable and will be good games. The first idea is a future based hack and slash that will be similar to the movie star ship troopers so the player will create a team and they are fighting bugs

My second idea would be a Viking based hack and slash with a party as well and your group is helping everyone try and prevent ragnorok.

I suggested this kind of hack and slash because I haven’t seen a party hack and slash in a long time hopefully we can make something good.

Feel free to make suggestions, additions or criticisms on these ideas.

Well, if these games are taken into consideration, there are a few things I'd like to clear up. We have barely started on Battle Paddles' let alone our main project Valhalla's Gate. If we do decide to take the responsibility of working on one of these two titles, it will be far off into the future and isn't really much to worry about at this moment.

We do not want to copy of a movie to make our game because of copyright issues. Although I do like the idea of having a game where a ship lands on a planet that is inhabited by other Creatures or insects. We can develop more on this idea later.

Two more hack-slash games would not go well with out style. Valhalla's Gate is already a Hack-slash game adn it is already taking enough of our time. Maybe It can be a tactical FPS and I'm not sure what you mean by the Viking Hack-slash.

If we do decide to take up one of these projects far off in the future, were going to need a lot more information about the games. A GDD is the right path to take to present s with the game (This should not be worried about since you have a larger task at hand right now).

Thanks for the suggestions though, I will keep these in mind after some work has been done with our current project.
